About

Founded in 1972, Covington Aircraft is a world-leading aircraft engine maintenance, repair and overhaul facility specializing in the PT6A turbine engine and R-985 and R-1340 radial engines. We are a Pratt & Whitney Canada certified Distributor and Designated Overhaul Facility (DDOF), and provide world-class corporate and agricultural aircraft service.

In addition to engine maintenance, repair and overhaul, we perform engine installations, operate state-of-the-art engine testing facilities, and maintain a complete inventory of engine parts and accessories. We’re centrally located in the U.S. near Tulsa, Oklahoma and Tulsa International Airport (TUL). We also have the advantage of utilizing Okmulgee Regional Airport (OKM), a smaller, more private runway. Covington performs all stages of engine repair and overhaul work in-house. We perform Non-Destructive Testing (NDT) to verify the integrity of critical parts prior to use, and use computer-controlled machinery for necessary machining, grinding, and balancing prior to assembly. An on-site Quality Control inspector oversees every step of the overhaul process, and when a rebuild is complete, the engine testing and run-in is performed at our own engine testing facilities to verify the highest quality rebuild possible.

Covington Core Values

Integrity Integrity is the most important element in our business model, and the principle on which Covington Aircraft was founded. We pride ourselves in earning our customers’ trust and commit our efforts to keeping it.

Dependability Valuable business dollars and the hard-earned livelihoods of our corporate and agricultural clients demand reliability. Every engine that comes into our shop receives our highest level of attention and service, which ensures the quality and timeliness our customers expect.

Quality Service Our unparalleled ability to provide personal attention to every customer has earned us distinct honors and the honor of serving many lifelong customers. We believe that if you value customers, you’ll serve them well – and that’s what we do.

Affordability We know what larger overhaul facilities charge, and we know we have lower prices. In fact, we offer some of the lowest prices in the business – because, in the end, it all comes down to your bottom line.

  2. I would like to receive information on the PT6 training. I am an instructor at Del Mar College in Corpus Christi and we just received 6 PT6A-25/27 engines for our Part 147 school and I would like to get up to date training on overhaul and teardown.

    Thank You
