Pratt & Whitney Canada reached a significant milestone in April of this year, when it produced its 100,000th engine, a testament to the company’s longevity and leadership in the global aerospace market.
“Achieving 100,000 engines produced has been a proud moment for us at P&WC and there is no doubt the support of the agricultural aviation segment has been instrumental in reaching this milestone,” says Nicholas Kanellias, Vice President, General Aviation, Pratt & Whitney Canada. “The PT6A engine contributed to shaping agricultural aviation as we know it, and it leads P&WC’s engine fleet with more than 47,000 PT6A engines manufactured and 23,000 such engines in operation today.”
While attending NAAA Ag Aviation Expo, P&WC took the opportunity to recognize Air Tractor and Thrush Aircraft for helping achieve this impressive milestone. Covington Aircraft, once again, was happy to go to NAAA and support the amazing agricultural community.
As we celebrate the 100,000 engine achievement by P&WC’s we are reminded of how fortunate we are at Covington Aircraft to be one of the less than dozen Pratt & Whitney Canada certified Distributor and Designated Overhaul Facility (DDOF), providing world-class corporate and agricultural aircraft service.
We’re not the largest authorized overhaul facility out there…thank goodness.
We’ve earned our impeccable reputation by recruiting and training the industry’s leading expert mechanics. And we take great pride in giving our customers the individual attention and service they need to get their planes back in the air faster than anyone. We’re not the largest authorized overhaul facility out there, thank goodness. That’s why we have some of the lowest prices in the business, the fastest turnaround, and the most thorough inspections of any P&W Canada DDOF in the U.S.
Eliminating Your Down Time
Because we understand that time on the ground means less money in your pocket, we stock a full line of replacement parts and accessories, and maintain an extensive pool of rental engines and engines for sale.
When Betty and I took over Covington Aircraft Engines many years ago, we followed in the previous owners’ footsteps by dedicating this business and the influences it would have on the Lord.
Our family has always felt that we are just stewards of a company that belongs to God, and we hold every decision we make, concerning any aspect of the company, up to the light of God’s word. We do this because we, as believers in Christ, are responsible for everything put into our hands by our Savior Jesus Christ. We try honestly to fulfill the goals of our heavenly Father through submitting ourselves, and all we have, to Him on a daily basis. Letting Christ into your life is not as complicated as it may seem. To be a member of God’s family, you personally must become a child of God: All who receive Christ and believe in His name (trust Him to save them) He gives the right to become children of God (John 1:12). The Bible emphasizes that to become a member of God’s family (a Christian), you must personally trust Jesus Christ as your Savior. “For now we are all children of God through faith in Jesus Christ” (Galatians 3:26). Nothing erases the necessity of that personal decision, for the Bible passes judgment on all of us – whatever our parentage, culture, or religious background. “Everyone has turned away: all have gone wrong. No one anywhere has kept on doing what is right; not one” (Romans 3:23). If you want to become a member of God’s family, a decisive step is necessary – admit your need of forgiveness and then trust in Jesus Christ who died for your sins. Only then are you a Child of God. He forgives your sins, actually declares you “not guilty” of offending Him (Romans 3:24), and welcomes you into the family. The Abbott family would like for you to be part of this eternal “family.” Please contact us at firstname.lastname@example.org if we can answer any questions you may have about becoming a member of God’s Family.
