Covington’s History of Great Aircraft Engine Maintenance and Service

Covington Aircraft
Covington Aircraft has been providing excellent service for the past 40 years.

Welcome to the Covington Aircraft Blog!  This will be a place to find great relevant information on the aircraft industry as well as information on radial and turbine aircraft engine maintenance.  We are excited to learn more about your aircraft and hear your questions so we can serve you better.  To launch the blog, we thought it would be good to give you a little history lesson on Covington Aircraft and what we are about.

The Abbott Family

Betty and Paul Abbott began running Covington in the mid 70’s. They built this company into what it is today by following in the footsteps of the previous owners and dedicating the business to the Lord.  Their faith in God is a constant reminder to serve others well and do everything with excellence.  Trust is a big deal to the Abbott family and that is why we are so dedicated to it.

Core Values

  • Integrity – Integrity is the most important element in our business model, and the principle on which Covington Aircraft was founded. We pride ourselves in earning our customers’ trust and commit our efforts to keeping it.
  • Dependability – Valuable business dollars and the hard-earned livelihoods of our corporate and agricultural clients demand reliability. Every engine that comes into our shop receives our highest level of attention and service, which ensures the quality and timeliness our customers expect.
  • Quality Service – Our unparalleled ability to provide personal attention to every customer has earned us distinct honors and the honor of serving many lifelong customers. We believe that if you value customers, you’ll serve them well – and that’s what we do.
  • Affordability – We know what larger overhaul facilities charge, and we know we have lower prices. In fact, we offer some of the lowest prices in the business – because, in the end, it all comes down to your bottom line.

What’s Happening Now and What We Want for the Future

We recently were appointed as an authorized Distributor and Designated Overhaul Facility (DDOF) for Pratt & Whitney Canada (P&WC).   We have had a relationship with P&WC for over 16 years and are honored to be chosen as a DDOF for them.  As a DDOF specializing in PT6A turbine engine and R-985 and R-1340 radial engines, we are able to expand our services to a wider range of PT6A engines other than agriculture.  Over the years we have overhauled thousands of engines and look forward to serving even more customers in the future.

Conclusion

We are so glad that people trust us to service their aircraft over and over again. Serving our customers and making them feel satisfied has been the driving force of Covington’s success.  Please comment and let us know how we can help you!
